Notary Signing Services

Where every signature counts, and every detail matters. Professional, compassionate notary services for your most important documents — serving North Carolina families and partner organizations.

Notary services you can trust

Prosperous Home Care Services Foundation offers professional notary and signing services as part of our commitment to supporting North Carolina families. Our commissioned North Carolina Notaries Public are trained to perform notarial acts in full compliance with the North Carolina Notary Public Act (N.C.G.S. Chapter 10B) and the rules of the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State.

Every signer must personally appear before the notary, present valid identification, and sign willingly and with understanding. We will never notarize a document for someone who appears confused, coerced, or otherwise unable to consent.

NC-Compliant

Commissioned by the North Carolina Secretary of State and bound by NC notary law. Fees never exceed the maximums set by N.C.G.S. §10B-31.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you serve?+

We serve communities throughout North Carolina. Mobile signing appointments are scheduled based on the signer's location and the type of document.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?+

Bring the unsigned document(s) and a current, valid government-issued photo ID — such as a driver's license, state ID, U.S. passport, or military ID — as required by North Carolina notary law. Do not sign the document before the notary arrives.

Can the notary give me legal advice or prepare documents?+

No. North Carolina notaries who are not licensed attorneys cannot draft legal documents, give legal advice, or explain the legal effect of a document. We can notarize documents you already have prepared.

Do all signers need to be present?+

Yes. Every signer requiring notarization must appear in person before the notary at the time of signing and present valid ID, as required by North Carolina law.

Can you notarize for someone who cannot communicate clearly or appears unsure?+

North Carolina notaries must refuse a notarization if a signer does not appear to understand the document or is not signing willingly. This protects vulnerable adults from coercion or fraud.

Do you offer remote online notarization?+

Our standard service is in-person mobile notarization in North Carolina. If remote electronic notarization is needed, please ask when you request your appointment and we will let you know whether we can accommodate the request under current NC rules.

What forms of payment do you accept?+

Fees are quoted at the time you request your appointment and are within the maximum fees allowed by North Carolina law for notarial acts. Mobile travel fees, when applicable, are disclosed in advance.
